
The Presidency has given more clarification on the health status of President Muhammadu Buhari amid speculation of a severe ill health of Nigeria’s number one citizen and extension of his vacation.
Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity had on Sunday announced the extension of Buhari’s vacation by unspecified number of days, saying the President need time to complete a test.
The announcement sparked panic and doubt among Nigerian who wondered how critical is the the President’s health.
“Given more clarification on the issue to douse panic, Senior special assistant to President Buhari, Garba Shehu, on Monday morning, said; “I spoke to the president’s personal doctor last night, and he told me President Buhari is not in any serious condition to worry about. He is not in hospital. He is in the residence at the Nigerian High Commission.
“He and his delegation were ready to come home yesterday but for the delayed test result which came in yesterday necessitated that he delays his return.
