Actress, Funke Akindele and singer Yemi Alade are the two Nigerian stars to bag nominations at this years Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, the only live event where kids votes count and the celebrities line up to get slimed
The duo were nominated alongside Trevor Noah, Lupita Nyong’o, Pearl Thusi and Wayde van Niekerk in the Favorite African Star Category.
The awards takes place on Saturday 11 March at USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles, will be hosted by WWE Superstar John Cena.
Other international nominees at the star-studded event include Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Daya, Chris Evans, Idris Elba, Megan Fox, Lukas Graham, Kevin Hart, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Felicity Jones, Leslie Jones, Anna Kendrick, Bruno Mars, Melissa McCarthy, JoJo Siwa, The Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake, Twenty One Pilots and more.
